- Thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) is a hemopoietic protein that is usually found in the heart, liver and prostate.TSLP is a four-helix-bundle cytokine that induces the release of T cell-attracting chemokines from monocytes. It is involved in the positive selection of regulatory T cells, maintenance of peripheral CD4+ T cell hemeostasis and the induction of CD4+ T cell-mediated allergic reaction. TSLP is also found to enhance the maturation of CD11c (+) dendritic cells.
